KLARO One Concrete

KLARO One Concrete is a fully certified packaged secondary wastewater treatment system (also known as a sewage treatment plant) designed for projects without access to the main sewer or where a conventional septic tank is not suitable.

Utilising market-leading SBR (sequencing batch reactor) technology, the KLARO One is a simple, reliable, cost-effective solution for domestic and commercial projects. If you are looking for a system with minimum power consumption and maintenance requirements, there is no better choice than the KLARO One.

How does SBR technology work?

Sequencing batch reactors (also known as SBRs) treat incoming wastewater in cycles of charging, aeration, settlement, and discharge. This particular type of system is an excellent choice for domestic and commercial projects as the system only runs for certain hours throughout the day. This maximises performance and minimises power consumption whilst also achieving the highest standard of treatment efficiency and effluent quality. KLARO One achieves a treatment efficiency of up to 98.1%. In this respect, the KLARO One far surpasses minimum legal requirements. (Fully certified to EN 12566-3 and S.R. 66:2015)

Process of an SBR system – How does SBR technology work?

1. Charging

The wastewater (toilets, showers, baths, sinks, washing machines, dishwashers) from your home or commercial facility flows by gravity into the KLARO One through an inlet pipe.

2. Aeration

The actual biological cleaning by microorganisms now takes place in the KLARO One. The SBR technology alternates between aeration and rest phases to activate the sludge properly. The so-called activated sludge can now develop with millions of microorganisms and clean the wastewater thoroughly.

3. Settlement phase

A settlement phase now follows, during which the activated sludge sinks to the bottom of the wastewater tank. This allows a clarified water zone to form at the top of the KLARO One ready for discharge.

4. Discharge

The treated wastewater is now discharged by gravity or pumped outlet into a percolation area, low-pressure pipe network, or sand filter before safely returning to groundwater. The remaining sludge is held back and removed periodically by a licensed company that will safely dispose of the sludge from your wastewater tank.
